Specialty Spots

This is our way of letting you know we recognize that your dog will need more attention and care than other dogs. We also try to moderate the number of Specialty Spot dogs we have at any given time to ensure we are providing every dog staying with us the best possible care.

Special Accommodations We Can Provide

  • • High Anxiety/Special Needs

    It`s not uncommon for dogs to be generally nervous or anxious. Everything can be a challenge for these dogs, from meeting new people to taking walks in a busy neighborhood. And being in a new place can be overwhelming for even the bravest pup. We created a room for dogs that need a quieter setting away from other animals and noises. Additionally, we are a small facility with at most 6 dogs. This means we can offer extra cuddles and one-on-one human attention.

  • •Dog Aggressive

    We understand that some dogs just don`t like other dogs. Maybe it was past trauma or just who they are; we are here for you. Because we are a small facility (never more than 6 dogs), we can manage dogs individually and offer solo one-on-one playtime.

  • • Everyone's Friend

    We are also more than happy to welcome the never-met-a-stranger dog; the dog that loves everyone! They simply need a place to stay, play and get lots of love.

  • • Trained/ In-Training

    The owner, Katherine, appreciates how much time and money can go into training your dog. Especially if you have worked for months to un-train a specific behavior. Katherine is an experienced dog handler familiar with different training techniques and tools. You can be assured that you and your dog’s hard work isn`t lost or undone while staying with us.

  • • Intact

    What started MVK in the first place was the intact dog. Whatever your reason for not spaying or neutering your dog, we are happy to have them here.

    This also includes female dogs in heat during their stay. Katherine experienced dealing with females in heat and the possible behavior changes that can occur.

  • • Pairs

    Some dogs are inseparable. Our regular 3’x8’ rooms can comfortably house a pair of small or medium dogs. But we also have two large rooms that can comfortably accommodate two larger dogs. We can also add a divider if your dogs would like to see each other but not be housed together

  • • Puppies

    Puppies (dogs under seven months) usually need a little more attention. They often require more frequent trips outside and need more general attention. Being a puppy is hard work; sometimes, new places away from familiar people are scary. We are here for you and your new family member, offering care and guidance for your little one.

Drop-off begins at 6:30am. Pick-up must be before 7:00pm

MVK does not charge boarders for daycare if you pick-up before 9:30am on pick-up day

Day Care

For One Dog $35 ($25 for each additional dog)

MVK does not offer weekly/regular daycare. We understand that some dogs need more time to get to know us before boarding. So, we are more than happy to schedule a few daycare visits leading up to your dog`s more lengthy stay. And we are also happy to provide the occasional daycare visit for any reason. But due to the nature of our business and clientele, we can not offer regularly scheduled daycare.

 

Boarding

For One Dog $45 ($35 for each additional dog)

Up to seven nights. Your furry family member is part of our pack.

Overnight boarding: drop-off anytime after 6:30am the first day and pick-up by 9:30am the next day. If you pick-up after 9:30am, a daycare charge will be added.

For Example

Drop-of at 1:00pm on the 21st and pick-up at 10:00am on the 22nd will be $80.

Drop-off at 1:00pm on the 21st and pick-up at 9:30am on the 22nd will be $45

 

Extended Stay

For One Dog 40$ ($35 for each additional dog)

Eight or more nights. We are more selective in our extended stay availability since some of our Specialty Spots are in higher demand.
